Vision
To Excel in education and research in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Mission
  • To Educate & train the students to have in-depth knowledge of the subjects in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering thereby making them develop confidence for R & D activities and placement in multinational and national companies so that the students will be of immediate use to industry, nation and mankind.
  • To achieve higher levels of quality standards by adopting latest learning /teaching processes which are embedded in the support system and to maintain an environment which fosters holistic development and strengthens the morality & ethics of the learners.

About Department

The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) discipline was established in the year 1999.

The ECE team is a fine blend of highly experienced as well as young and dynamic faculty members, having education and experience from renowned institutions in India. Advanced courses and electives enable students to specialize in communications, signal processing, Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), embedded systems, and other streams.

The department also offers specialized M. Tech. programme in Communication System.

All the laboratories of the department are well equipped. The department has PCB prototype machine also. The Computer Lab has 60 highly configured computers having latest software like MATLAB, Tina pro, Xilinx, ModelSim, PCB wizard etc. for design and development of electronic circuits and devices.

Every engineering stream is beautiful,It's all about how you approach those subjects.The wide range of job opportunities for ECE students throughout the world.The other advantage of this branch is that students can go for hardware field, software field, Public Sectors, Central Govt. Jobs, Indian Forces or any other field of engineering also.

Our alumni have been well placed in Core Electronics Companies, Navratna companies of India, Multinational Companies, Software Industries, Indian Forces, Telecom Companies, like Apple, hp (Hewlett Packard), Airtel, Siemens, Scientist in BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Center), DRDO ( Defence Research & Development Organisation), CSIR Labs, Airport Authority of India, Bank PO , Mobile companies like Nokia, Mobilecom, Reliance Communication, Officer's rank in Indian Army, BSF, Digital Design Engineer, Software Industries like Infosys, TCS, IBM, Capgemini, Accenture, HSBC, HCL Technologies, etc.

Admission Procedure in B.Tech.
  • Admission to First Year M. P. Quota candidates is done by M.P. State level Counselling conducted by DTE, Bhopal.Distribution of seats is done as per MP Govt./DTE norms.
  • The admission to First Year (B.S.F./CAPFs Wards candidates) is done on the basis of marks obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (Main) which is conducted by JEE Apex Board, Government of India. B.S.F./CAPFs Wards Candidates should be the Sons/Daughters of serving/retired/deceased on duty BSF/CRPF/ITBP/CISF/SSB/MP Police personnel.
  • Admission to “Second Year Lateral Entry “(M.P. Quota & B.S.F./CAPFs Wards candidates) is done through Counselling conducted by DTE, Bhopal.
  • All the eligibilities and qualifications fixed by State Government are applicable.
Admission Procedure in M.Tech.
  • Seats are open and preference is given to GATE qualified candidates. The merit list is prepared on the basis of GATE score and remaining admissions are done on the basis of merit list of written test/Interview conducted at RJIT.

Facilities

LG Research Lab

LG Electronics (India) Laboratory has been setup by the LG company for providing awareness and state-of-the-art training to the students of B Tech course of Electronics & Communication Engineering branch. This training helps the students to gain the knowledge about devices of home entertainment/appliances of LG so that they can be absorbed in such companies and may become an entrepreneur.

Smart Classes

All the classes in the Department of Electronics & Communications are equipped with latest technology for teaching and learning methodology. The new revolutionary program in education system is Smart Classes that has changed the concept of learning (classroom teaching). Its an innovative technology that has aimed to revolutionise the way teachers teach and students learn in class. Obviously, this methodology has proved beneficial for the students.



Internet

National Knowledge Network (NKN) Lab provides 1GBPS internet connectivity to the Institute and Department. Reliance Jio Net is additional internet facility in department to access Hi-Speed wireless internet connectivity on your personal Gadgets.

Achievements

  1. M Tech Student Mr. Shubham Bhatt under the supervision of Dr. Chetan Pathak, submitted the manuscript "Design, Performance and Defect Density Analysis of Efficient Eco-Friendly Perovskite Solar Cell" in TED (Transaction of Electronics & Devices), the manuscript is accepted by the TED.
  2. Four Students made Electric Scooter from scrap items under the supervision of Prof. Sandeep Agrawal.
  3. Students of Electronics & Communication Engineering department made Automatic Alcohol detector to lock the engine of the vehicle under the supervision of Prof. Sandeep Agrawal
  4. A team of 05 students designed & developed a drone for R&D project on “aerial dropping of TS Grenade” with TSU, BSF Academy Tekanpur
  5. Ms. Akarshika Singhal (2017) got selected for Masters Fall 2019 at UMBC Maryland,USA
  6. Ms Anuksha Agarwal and Akash Wadekar (2019) got selected in IIM Shillong.
  7. Falit Goyal (2019) started a Startup “Tulika” for making pencils from waste News paper.
  8. One student of team Robolution awarded as best intern in Hyderabad plant of Dulux Paint. ( June- 2018).

  21. NAR - Nurse Assistance Robot by Team Robolution.
    • It is the event organized by MHRD and AICTE.
    • From all over India, 2500 teams participated in this event. These teams includes premier institute like IITs & NITs and persons from industries.
    • Team RJIT secured a place in top 10 teams of this event, after fighting 3 rounds.
    • Our robot was appreciated by many industry & hospitals and three reputated hospitals permitted us to test our robot in their hospital premises.
    Functions of NAR
    NAR is designed to help medical staff in their day to day work especially in the time of Corona Virus. It has functions like
    1. Advance communication between patient and Dr’s.
    2. Collection of waste material of patient.
    3. Supply of essentials like food and medicine to patient.
    4. Measure the body temperature of patient.
    Features of NAR
    1. NAR can be controlled by many wireless communications like Bluetooth, LAN , GSM etc.
    2. Discharge batteries of the NAR can be replaced by charged one so that it can be used 24×7 without keeping it idle while charging.
    3. NAR has multi level shelves which will avoid mixing of food and medicines.
    4. NAR has Omni directional wheels so that it can run smoothly in all directions.
    5. Because of thermal sensor camera, NAR can be operated in low light or in dark too.
    In future NAR can be upgraded to add many other features like robotic arm to support patients, to have facility to measure BP, sugar etc.
    In 2018 we have won ‘The Best Shuttlecock Award’ which is given by Vietnam.
    This Award is a unique award which had not given in the past to any team and will not be given to any other team in future.

  26. Team robolution is the first & the only team in whole chambal region which participates in this international robotic competition “ROBOCON”.
  27. ROBOLUTION is the only team in our college campus which promotes the college name on the national television channel name – D.D. NATIONAL.
  28. LG India signed an MoU for the training of ECE department students

Technical Quiz

Department of Electronics Engg. And Electrical Engg. organized Technical Quiz with the technical collaboration of IEEE MP Sub Section and IETE Gwalior Sub Center on 24th Jan. 2019. About 125 students both from Electrical and Electronics Engineering branch participated in the Technical quiz. Out of which Ms. Roshni Shukla of Electronics Engg. secured first prize, Ms. Nisha Kumari of Electrical Engg. got second prize and Mr. Vikas Yadav of Electrical Engg. secured third prize.

  1. Department of Electronics and Communication Engg. organized workshop on Electronic Project Design and Testing with the technical collaboration of IEEE MP Sub Section and IETE Gwalior Sub Centre on 21st Feb. 2020. About 50 students participated in the workshop.
