About the Scholarship

Purpose and implementation overview
The purpose of this scheme is to lay down clear guidelines for the implementation, scrutiny, approval, and disbursement of the scholarship for eligible students. The scheme promotes academic merit, discipline, good conduct, and educational support for deserving students.

Scholarship Categories

Award categories, eligibility and amount

1. General Merit Category
  • Any one deserving boy or girl student.
  • Topper student of the year from any branch may be awarded under this category.

2. BSF/CAPFs Ward Category
  • Boy or girl student who is a ward of BSF/CAPFs personnel.
  • Topper students from BSF/CAPF wards in any branch may be awarded under this category.

3. Girl Student – BSF Ward Category
  • Exclusively for a girl student who is a ward of BSF personnel only.
  • The topper girl student from BSF ward category in any branch may be awarded under this category.

Eligibility & Required Documents

Checklist for applicants before submission

General Eligibility Conditions

  • The applicant must be a bonafide student of the institution.
  • The student must have good conduct and discipline record.
  • The student must have the minimum prescribed attendance as per institutional norms.
  • The student must not be involved in any disciplinary case.
  • A complete application must be submitted with required documents within the stipulated time.
A student can apply for only one scholarship, i.e., Central, State, College, or any other scholarship.

Required Documents

Applicants shall submit self-attested copies of the following:

  • Scholarship application form.
  • Recent passport-size photograph.
  • Aadhaar card.
  • Institute ID card.
  • Marksheet/result of previous examination.
  • Attendance certificate.
  • Character/conduct certificate from HOD.

Additional Conditions for BSF/CAPFs Categories

  • BSF/CAPFs Ward Category: Applicant must be a ward of serving/retired BSF/CAPFs personnel. Valid service certificate or ID proof is mandatory.
  • Girl Student – BSF Ward Category: Applicant must be a girl student and a ward of BSF personnel only. Service certificate from BSF authority is compulsory.
Additional supporting documents may include parent service certificate, departmental ID card/service proof, and relationship proof if required.

Procedure for Implementation

From notification to final disbursement

Notification

Notice issued with eligibility, scholarship amount, documents, and deadlines.

2

Submission

Application submitted in prescribed format. Incomplete or late forms are rejected.

3

Scrutiny

Committee verifies eligibility, academics, attendance, and conduct record.

4

Merit List

List prepared based on merit, attendance, eligibility, and conduct.

5

Approval

Final approval is obtained from the competent authority.

6

Disbursement

Scholarship paid through bank transfer or payee cheque with proper receipt.
