Humanities

Shaping Well-Rounded Engineers with Communication and Ethics

About Department

Established in 1999 alongside Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT), the Department of Humanities plays a vital role in shaping well-rounded engineering graduates by nurturing their communication skills, critical thinking, and ethical understanding. While engineering primarily focuses on technical knowledge and problem-solving, the humanities provide the essential human perspective that connects technology with society.

In today’s globalized world, effective communication and interpersonal skills are as important as technical expertise. The department equips students with strong foundations in professional communication, technical writing, soft skills, and language proficiency. Through carefully designed courses, students learn to articulate ideas clearly, work collaboratively, and adapt to multicultural professional environments. Workshops, seminars, and personality development programs enhance students’ confidence, employability, and leadership qualities, ensuring they become not only skilled professionals but also responsible and socially conscious citizens.
